Homemade Ghee Recipe - Easy Desi Ghee at Home
Ghee is a very important ingredient in Gujarati cuisine. Ghee is used in preparation of sweets, Gujarati vasanu recipes, sometimes in Gujarati shaak recipes and even applied on phulka rotlis. Today in this recipe video we will see how to make ghee at home in easy steps. Desi Ghee or homemade is highly pure and very beneficial for our body when included in our daily diet. It is very simple to make ghee at home if you follow some tips and tricks. So let us see how to make ghee at home.
Recipe: Ingredients:
  • Full Fat Cream
  • Ice Cubes
Procedure :
  1. Remove the cream from fridge and keep it a room temperature for 8-10 hours.
  2. Now take the cream in an utensil. When you take the cream in the utensil try to remove the water content as much as possible.
  3. Stir it continuously till water separates. As we have removed the cream from fridge and kept it at room temperature it is quite easy to stir it.
  4. To fasten the process add ice cubes and stir it.
  5. When water separates, take some portion of the solid portion in your palms, rinse the water and place it in a non-stick kadhai.
  6. Heat it and let the solid portion melt. Once it melts keep the flame low to medium. No need to stir it continuously.
  7. It will take around 15-20 minutes for this process. When ghee is ready filter it and pour it in a jar. Do not close the jar while ghee is hot, let the ghee cool down and then close it. Our homemade ghee in easy steps is ready.
