Gulab Jamun Recipe
Gulab Jamun is an all time favorite Indian dessert recipe. Today in this recipe video we will make Gulab Jamun in a very easy way. This gulab jamun Gujarati recipe is simply irresistible and a must try dessert recipe. Gulab Jamun banavani rit is very simple if you follow few important tips. In this recipe I have prepared yummy Gulab Jamuns using khoya and little bit of plain flour for binding. Also I have flavored the sugar syrup with cardamom powder and kesar which gives a nice rich taste to this amazing and sumptuous dessert recipe. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Khoya
  • 2.5 Teaspoons of Plain Flour (Maida)

For Sugar Syrup:
  • 1.5 Cups of Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
  • Saffron (Kesar)
Procedure:
  1. Take khoya and knead it well and make it soft and even. Add 2.5 teaspoons of plain lour and mix well.
  2. Knead the mixture well and prepare small balls. These balls when fried will increase in size when fried so prepare accordingly.
  3. For sugar syrup in deep bottomed utensil add sugar and water. Dissolve the sugar well. Now add cardamom powder and saffron. Stir it and prepare a thick syrup. The mixture should be little sticky.
  4. Heat some oil and deep fry the gulab jamuns on medium to low gas for perfect color. Make sure no bubbles appear on the gulab jamuns. If there are bubbles add little bit more plain flour to the mixture.
  5. Once the gulab jamuns become nice golden brown in color, remove them and put them in the warm sugar syrup. The syrup should be warm and not hot when dipping the gulab jamuns.
  6. Let the gulab jamuns absorb the syrup and then serve it. Tasty Gulab Jamuns are ready.
