Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 500 Ml Milk
- 1/4 Cup Gundar (Gond)
- 1/4 Cup Broken Wheat (Daliya/ Gehun Na Fada)
- 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg (Jaiphal) Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
- Chopped Dryfruits
- 1/4 Cup Ghee
Procedure:
- Heat ghee and add gundar. Fry it well till it puffs and then remove it in a bowl.
- In same kadhai at little ghee to roast the broken wheat on low gas. Roast till it changes colour and you get an aroma of it being roasted.
- Add milk and reduce it by half. 4. Add fried gundar and stir till the milk curdles.
- In a pan add sugar and melt it on medium gas. When it becomes liquid add it to the mixture and mix it.
- Add chopped dry fruits, nutmeg powder and cardamom powder. Stir on medium gas till it thickens and leaves the kadhai.
- Transfer it to a plate and let it cool for 1-2 hours.
- Once it cools down take some portion of it and make a round ball out of it and flatten it. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits and let it set for 24-48 hours. Halwasan is ready.
