Gundar Pak | Winter Recipe | Gujarati Sweet Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Gundar Pak is a Gujarati sweet which is prepared during the winter season. This winter special recipe is made from wheat flour, gundar ( edible gum ), dry fruits and lots of other nutritious ingredients. To add the nutritional value of Gundar Pak we have used jaggery instead of sugar syrup. This Gujarati Gundar Pak is very beneficial for young children. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 150 Grams Edible Gum (Gundar)
  • 1-1.5 Wheat Flour (Gehun ka Atta)
  • 1 Cup Jaggery (Gud)
  • ¼ Cup Grinded Dried Coconut (Sukha Nariyal)
  • ¼ Cup Dry Fruit Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Nutmeg (Jaiphal) Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Ganthola Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Ginger (Sonth) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Musk Melon Seeds (Kharbuje Ke Beej)
  • Chopped Almonds (Badam)
  • Chopped Pistachios (Pista)
  • Ghee
Procedure:
  1. Fry the gundar in ghee.
  2. Crush the fried gundar.
  3. Now take some ghee and add the wheat flour. Roast it on a low flame until it turns golden brown.
  4. Add grinded dried coconut and roast it well.
  5. Now add nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, dried ginger powder, ganthola powder, musk melon seeds and dry fruit powder. Mix well.
  6. Add crushed gundar and mix well.
  7. Now keep this mixture aside.
  8. In a utensil, heat little ghee and add jaggery. Melt it.
  9. Add the previously made mixture to ghee and mix well.
  10. Now add this in a vessel greased with ghee.
  11. Flatten it and top it with some chopped pistachios and almonds.
  12. Let it set and then cut it into pieces.
  13. Gundar Pak is ready to eat.
