Masala Toast

Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • Bread
  • 2 Cups of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Rice Flour (Chawal ka Atta)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic (Lehsun) Paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Til)
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water

Procedure:

  1. In a mixing bowl add gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida, cumin seeds, garlic paste, sesame seeds and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  2. Add water gradually to it and make a thick mixture.
  3. Add 1-2 teaspoons of hot oil to the batter and mix well.
  4. Cut the bread slice into two pieces. Apply the batter on both sides of the bread and stick some sesame seeds on one side.
  5. Heat oil and deep fry the bread. Masala toast is ready, serve it with fried green chilies.
