Capsicum Batata Nu Shaak | Capsicum Ki Sabji | Gujarati Rasoi

This Capscium Nu Shaak is very easy and quick to prepare. I have used boiled potatoes and shallow fried capsicum to prepare this recipe which makes it fast to cook. The recipe consists of simple masalas which makes this recipe yummy in taste. You can prepare this recipe for tiffin box as well.

Ingredients:
  • 250 Grams Diced Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • 2-3 Boiled & Diced Potatoes
  • 2 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2-3 Lengthwise Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 2-3 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Shallow fry the diced capsicum.
  2. Now in the same kadhai take some oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, bay leaves, green chilies and sauté them well.
  3. Add chopped onions and stir till it turns golden brown.
  4. Add tomatoes and stir well. Add ginger garlic paste and stir.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhana jeera powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add boiled potatoes, shallow fried capsicum and mix well. Cook for 3-5 minutes and our Shimla Marcha Nu Shaak is ready.
