Batata Na Pudla - Quick Potato Pancake Recipe

Our last recipe in lunch box recipe is quick batata na pudla. In this pudla we have added grated potatoes, some gram flour, semolina and traditional spices. This recipe is very quick to make and a tasty delicacy to be served in a lunch box. Addition of Semolina to the batter gives the pudla a nice crispy texture and makes it tasty. Ingredients:
  • 4 Potatoes
  • ½ Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Cup Semolina (Rava)
  • 5-6 Finely Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Salt
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Peel the potatoes, wash them and grate them. Soak them in water for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain these grated potatoes and then squeeze them to remove the excess water.
  3. Now take the grated potatoes in a bowl and add gram flour, semolina, chopped green chillies, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well and prepare the batter. Add water if required.
  4. Now on a pan add some oil and pour the batter to prepare the batter, Spread the batter evenly and roast it from both sides. Batata Na Pudla is ready.
