Different & Tasty Shimla Mirch Sabzi for Lunch - Shimla Marcha Nu Shaak by Gujarati Rasoi

In this everyday food recipe we have prepared Shimla Marcha Nu Shaak recipe with some twist. This Shimla Mirch Sabji recipe is prepared in curd to give it a smooth texture and a nice taste of curd. This vegetarian recipe in Gujarati can be an excellent tiffin box recipe or a lunch recipe as it is very quick to make. Along with capsicum and curd it has the rich Indian traditional masalas which provide the necessary taste to this vegetarian Indian recipe.
  • 200-250 Grams Chopped Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • 3-4 Teaspoons Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Cup Curd (Dahi)
  • 10-12 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 2-3 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder 
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water
  1. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, chopped green chilies, chopped ginger and chopped garlic. Sauté it well.
  2. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and red chili powder. Mix well.
  3. Add chopped capsicum and mix well. Close lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add gram flour and roast it.
  5. Add curd, salt and mix well.
  6. Add water and stir well. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes. 
  7. Garnish it with some coriander leaves and our Shimla mirch ki sabji is ready, serve it with Phulkas.
