Mumbai Sev Puri Sandwich - Mumbai Street Food - Gujarati Rasoi

Mumbai’s Matunga area is famous for a unique combination of Sev Puri and Sandwich known as Sev Puri Sandwich of Gupta Chaat Bhandar. Gupta Chaat Bhandar Sev Puri Sandwich is the best of two worlds i.e. chaat flavour of  Mumbai Sev Puri and the yummy taste of a Sandwich. This different Sev Puri recipe is very quick to make and can be an excellent snacks recipe. Ingredients:
  • Bread Slice
  • Chopped Onions
  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Chopped Raw Mangoes (Kaccha Aam)
  • Green Chutney
  • Garlic Chutney
  • Dates-Tamarind Chutney
  • Chaat Masala
  • Sev
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Butter
Procedure:
  1. Apply butter and green chutney on two bread slices.
  2. Take one slice and place sev puri puri on it. Now on the puris add chopped onions, boiled potato, some chopped raw mangoes, green chutney, garlic chutney, dates-tamarind chutney, chaat masala, generous amount of sev and some coriander.
  3. Now place the other slice over the previous one and prepare a sandwich.
  4. Apply butter and toast the sandwich.
  5. Cut the sandwich into 4 equal pieces and garnish the sandwich with some sev and coriander leaves.
  6. Matunga Sev Puri Sandwich is ready.
