Mumbai Masala Toast is a famous street food found at every nook and corner of the busy ‘gallis’ aka streets of Mumbai. With fresh veggies and spices, Bombay Toast is a perfect breakfast to have.
Recipe:
Ingredients-
- 1 Cup of Boiled Cauliflower (Gobi)
- 2 Boiled Carrots ( Gajar )
- 2 Boiled Potatoes ( Batata )
- 250 Grams of Peas ( Matar )
- Coriander Leaves ( Dhaniya )
- 1 Cup Chopped Onions
- 1 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
- 5 Teaspoons of Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste (Adrak-Lehsun-Hari Mirch Paste)
- ¼ Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
- 3 Teaspoon of Coriander – Cumin Seed Powder ( Dhana Jeera Powder)
- 2 Teaspoons of Red Chilli Powder ( Lal Mirch Powder)
- 2 Teaspoons of Pav Bhaji Masala
- Salt
- Oil
- Take the vegetables in a bowl and mash it.
- Now in a pan take some oil, add the onions and fry it well. Once the onions are cooked add chopped tomatoes.
- When tomatoes are cooked add 5 teaspoons of ginger-garlic-green chilli paste and cook it well.
- Now add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder (coriander-cumin seed powder), red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala.
- Mix the spices well and then the mashed vegetables.
- Add salt as per taste and cook with the lid closed for 10 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves ( dhaniya ) on top.
- Apply this preparation on the bread and make a sandwich as shown in video.
- Apply ghee and toast this sandwich from both sides.
- Masala Toast is ready.
