Paneer Methi Malai | Paneer Nu Shaak | Gujarati Rasoi

Paneer methi Malai is a classic combination of all time favourite paneer and healthy and nutritious methi. This paneer nu shaak is cooked in tomato based gravy and consists of generous quantity of cream. This recipe can be an excellent dinner recipe to enjoy with your friends and family.   • Paneer
  • 1 Cup Boiled Methi
  • 1.5 Cup Cream
  • 3-4 Roughly cut Tomatoes
  • 2 Teaspoon Ginger Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Hing
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 3 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Mango Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
  • 2 Teaspoon Butter
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
Method –
  1. Heat some oil and add hing, ginger paste and stir well.
  2. Add tomatoes and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder, dhana jeera powder and salt as per taste.
  4. Mix well and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  5. Let the mixture cool and then grind it into thick paste.
  6. Heat oil and shallow fry the paneer pieces.
  7. Now in a utensil, add butter and let it melt.
  8. Add boiled methi and sauté it for a while.
  9. Now add previously made paste and cook for 3 minutes.
  10. Add fried paneer and stir well.
  11. Add kasuri methi.
  12. Add salt and water as per requirement and stir well.
  13. Add cream and mix well.
  14. Cook for 3-5 minutes and finish it with handful of coriander leaves.
