Moong Dal Sabzi is a popular Gujarati shaak recipe which consists of moong dal cooked in traditional Gujarati masala. This recipe is easy to make and consists of limited ingredients. This recipe has the taste of onions, red chilli, mustard seeds and a hint of green chilli. This recipe is enjoyed with hot and crispy Gujarati Bhakri.   • 3 Cups Soaked Moong Dal
  • 2 Teaspoon Green Chilli- Garlic Paste
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
Method –
  1. Heat some oil and add mustard seeds and asafoetida.
  2. Add chopped onions and fry them till they turn golden brown.
  3. Now add green chilli garlic paste, turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. Now add soaked Moong Dal and stir well.
  5. Add salt as per taste and some water as per requirement.
  6. Cook the dal well and once cooked add some coriander leaves.
  7. Moong Dal Shaak is ready.
