Lapsi is a traditional Gujarati Sweet recipe prepared using broken wheat (dalia) cooked in ghee and sugar. This recipe is often served in Gujarati wedding ceremony.   • 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 Cup of Broken Wheat (Dalia)
  • 3 Cups of Water
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 4-5 Pistachios
  • 4-5 Cashew Nuts
  • 4-5 Almonds
Method –
  1. Heat ghee and add broken wheat and stir on a low flame till it turns golden brown.
  2. Now add 3 cups of water and let the mixture boil.
  3. Once it boils reduce the flame and stir till the water evaporates.
  4. Add 1 cups sugar and stir continuously till the mixture thickens.
  5. Once the mixture thickens add cardamom powder, chopped pistachios, chopped almonds and chopped cashew nuts.
  6. Lapsi is ready to eat.
