Rava Pak - Diwali Sweet

Rava Pak is an instant Gujarati sweet recipe which you can prepare for any good occasion. It hardly requires 3-4 ingredients and a delicious sweet is ready for your guests. This rava pak can be stored for 7-10 days. As name suggests main ingredient is semolina along with some ghee and sugar. That’s it and our yummy Diwali special sweet recipe is ready. Recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup of Fine Semolina (Rava)
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Ghee
  • Chopped Pistachios (Pista)
  • Chopped Almonds (Badam)
  • Raisins (Kishmish)

Procedure:

  1. Heat ghee in kadhai and roast the semolina. Roast it on low to medium flame. Roast it till it becomes slightly brown.
  2. Now for the sugar syrup take equal amount of water and sugar and prepare the syrup. The syrup should be sticky.
  3. Add this syrup to roasted semolina and on a slow gas stir it. Add chopped pistachios, chopped almonds and raisins. Stir till it thickens. To check whether it is ready take a small portion in a plate, after 5-10 seconds check whether it holds shape. If it holds your mixture is ready.
  4. Now grease a mould or plate with ghee and pour the mixture. Flatten it and make it even. Top it with some chopped pistachios and almonds.
  5. After 5 minutes cut it into pieces, don’t wait for too long or else the mixture will become hard and it would be tough to cut it. Let it cool for another 10 minutes and our Diwali special sweet Rava Pak is ready.
