Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 250 Grams Seedless Lengthwise Chopped Bitter Gourd (Karela)
  • 2 Lengthwise Chopped Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Amchur Powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In lengthwise chopped bitter gourd add turmeric powder and salt. Mix it. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile heat some oil to fry the onions. Add cumin seeds and lengthwise chopped onion. Fry it till it becomes golden brown and crispy. Fry it on medium gas. Once it is fried well remove it in a bowl.
  3. After 15 minutes squeeze out the water from bitter gourd and deep fry it in the same oil. Make it nice crispy. Remove it in a bowl.
  4. Remove the oil from the kadhai and in the same kadhai add the fried bitter gourd and onion. Add dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder and little salt as we have already added salt in bitter gourd. On low gas mix it well. Karela Nu Shaak is ready.
