Makai Na Pudla
In the monsoon season corn is easily available in market and tasty corn recipes are a must try during the rains. Today we will make makai na pudla or corn chilla. This Gujarati puddle recipe is very easy to make and while preparing this makai na pudla I have added some whole boiled corn kernels to give it a nice texture. You can enjoy this tasty Corn Chilla recipe with green chutney or sauce. This Gujarati puddle can also be prepared for dinner.

Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Boiled & Coarsely Crushed Corn (Makai)
  • 1/4 Cup Boiled Corn (Makai)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • 6 Tablespoons of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 4-5 Finely Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In a mixing bowl take boiled & crushed corn. Add finely chopped, finely chopped spinach, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin seeds, whole boiled corn, gram flour, finely chopped coriander leaves, salt and mix it.
  2. Add water slowly and prepare a batter with a little bit thick consistency.
  3. Heat some oil on pan and add the batter. Flatten it with a spoon. Cook on low gas. Cover it for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add little oil on top and turn it. Make it nice crispy and golden brown. Makai Na Pudla are ready.
