Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of Finely Chopped Fenugreek (Methi)
  • 1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • 1/4 Cup Semolina (Rava)
  • 2 Cups of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 8-10 Finely Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coarse Saunf (Fennel) Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coarsely Grinded Coriander Seeds (Sabut Dhania)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 2-3 Pinch of Soda
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water
Procedure:
  1. In a mixing bowl add finely chopped fenugreek leaves, coriander leaves, finely chopped green chilies, coarse fennel seeds powder, coarsely grinded coriander leaves, carom seeds, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, semolina, gram flour and mix well. Add water and make a batter for goats. Add 2 teaspoons of oil and mix well. Cover it and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Add soda and lemon juice. Mix it vigoursly and activate the soda. Add 1 tablespoon of hot oil and mix it. This is will make the bhajiyas fluffy.
  3. Heat some oil and deep fry the gotas on low flame. Methi Na Gota is ready, serve it with Besan Ni Chutney.
