Crispy Bataka Na Bhajiya - બટાકા ના ભજીયા | Gujarati Batata Na Bhajiya | Bhajiya Recipe Gujarati

 Crispy Batata BhajiToday we will make crispy and tasty bataka na bhajiya. This bhajiya is prepared in a different way. We will grate the potatoes to make these yummy bhajiyas. This will give a nice crispy texture to the bhajiya. This is a perfect recipe to enjoy the amazing monsoon. A good hot cup of tea and crispy bataka na bhajiya.   • 3 Potatoes
  • 1/4 Cup Rice Flour (Chawal Ka Atta)
  • 3-4 Tablespoons of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Ginger-Green Chilli (Adrak-Hari Mirch) Paste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil


  1. Peel the potatoes, wash it and grate them.
  2. Wash the grated potatoes thrice in water and drain the water completely which removes the starch and makes the bhajiyas crispy.
  3. Now in grated potatoes add ginger-green chilli paste, turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, salt, coriander leaves, rice flour, gram flour and lemon juice. Mix well. If mixture doesn’t bind you can add little bit of both rice flour and gram flour.
  4. Heat oil and deep fry the bhajiyas. Make them nice golden brown. Fry them on medium flame. Crispy Bataka Na Bhajiyas are ready.
