Poha Bhel

This bhel recipe is prepared using shallow frying poha in a tadka of cumin seeds and green chilies which adds a nice spicy taste to this recipe. Once the poha is fried than our bhel is ready in jiffy. Add some onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, some masalas and chutneys. Yummy and tasty Poha Bhel is ready. Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Poha
  • 1-2 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • Finely Chopped Onion
  • Finely Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • Green Chutney
  • Dates-Tamarind (Khajur-Imli) Chutney
  • Fried Chana Dal
  • Sev
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil

Procedure:

  1. Heat some oil and add cumin seeds, green chillies and poha. Fry the poha well. Add some salt. Fry it for 3-5 minutes till it becomes crispy.
  2. In a mixing bowl add poha, finely chopped onion, finely chopped tomato, green chutney, dates-tamarind chutney, fried chana dal, sev, chaat masala, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  3. Poha Bhel is ready.
