Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 15-20 Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • Juice of 2 Lemons
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Ke Daane)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Remove the stem of green chilies and slit it. Fill salt in it.
  2. Heat some oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, sesame seeds and asafoetida. Stir it well.
  3. Add salted green chilies and mix it well with the condiments. Close lid and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add turmeric powder and lemon juice. Mix it. Close lid and cook for 5 minutes. Limbu Marcha Nu Athanu is ready. You can store this instant athanu for 10-15 days.
