Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • 250 Grams of Finely Chopped Fenugreek (Methi)
  • 1.5-2 Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon of Green Chilli-Ginger-Garlic Cloves (Hari Mirch-Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds (Sabut Dhania)
  • 10-15 Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ½ - ¾ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Salt
  • Oil

Procedure:

  1. In a mixer make a coarse powder of coriander seeds and black peppercorns.
  2. Mash the bananas in a bowl. Add fenugreek leaves, previously prepared coarse powder, green chilli-ginger-garlic cloves paste, turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add gram flour gradually and mix well. You won’t require water to prepare the batter.
  4. Heat oil and add 1-2 tablespoon oil in batter to make the bhajiyas crispy. Mix well.
  5. Deep fry the bhajiyas and make them nice golden brown.
  6. Kela Methi Na Bhajiya is ready.
