Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 250 Grams Paneer Cubes
  • ½ Cup Curd (Dahi)
  • 2 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 2 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta)
  • 2 Dried Red Chillies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks (Dalchini)
  • 8-10 Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • 1 Star Anise (Chakri Phool)
  • 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Halid)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil

Procedure:

  1. Heat some oil and add cumin seeds, dried red chillies, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, star anise and cloves. Sauté it well.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and stir till it turns golden brown.
  3. Add finely chopped tomatoes and ginger-garlic paste. To cook the tomatoes, add salt. Stir well. Close lid and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  5. Add gram flour and roast it well.
  6. Add curd and stir well. Add salt if required.
  7. Add paneer cubes and mix it well in masala. Add water for gravy and let it boil.
  8. Add chopped green chilies, garam masala and kasuri methi. Mix well.
  9. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves and our Paneer Masala is ready.
