Ringan Bateta Nu Shaak
Ringan Bateta Nu Shaak is a popular Gujarati dish and today we will make Bharela Ringan Nu Shaak. This Gujarati recipe is prepared using a different masala. This recipe involves no onion and is very quick. We have prepared an amazing masala to stuff the brinjals and to this masala we have added jowar flour instead of gram flour.   • 200-250 Grams of Brinjals (Baingan)
  • 1 Diced Potato
  • ¼ Cup Roasted & Grinded Dried Coconut (Sukka Nariyal)
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Roasted Peanut (Singdana) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Jowar Flour
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  1. Grind garlic cloves and roasted & grinded dried coconut. Take it in a plate, add roasted peanut powder, jowar flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhana jeera powder, salt and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Add 2-3 teaspoons of hot oil to it and mix well with a spoon.
  2. Make criss-cross cut in brinjals and fill the masala in it.
  3. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Stir well.
  4. Add diced potato and stir for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add stuffed brinjals and stir it. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add remaining masala. Fry it well.
  7. Add water as per requirement and prepare the gravy.
  8. Let it come to boil and then close lid to cook for 5-7 minutes. Bharela Ringan Bateta Nu Shaak is ready.
