Bhinda Nu Shaak

Bhinda Nu Shaak is loved by everyone. Today we will make Gujarat Bhinda Nu Shaak in a different way. We have added diced onions to this Gujarati recipe which gives a nice taste.   • 250 Grams Chopped & Slitted Okra (Bhindi)
  • 1 Diced Onion
  • 2-3 Finely Chopped Green Chili (Hari Mirch)
  • 1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Amchur Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt
  • Oil 


  1. Heat oil and add carom seeds, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chilies and sauté it well.
  2. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and red chili powder. Mix well.
  3. Add chopped and slitted okra and mix it. Close lid and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add diced onion and salt. Stir well.
  5. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add amchur powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  7. Bhinda Nu Shaak is ready.
