Navsari Pav Batata

Ingredients:   
For Green Chutney:
  • ½ Cup Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 1 Cup Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • 3-4 Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • ½ Inch Ginger (Adrak)
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • Salt
  • Water 
For Batata Nu Shaak:
  • 8-10 Boiled & Diced Potatoes
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Green Chili-Ginger-Garlic (Hari Mirch-Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Teaspoon Coarsely Grinded Coriander Seeds (Sabut Dhania)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Water
For Roasting Pav:
  • Pav
  • Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Butter 
Procedure:
  1. In a mixer cup add green chilies, ginger, garlic cloves, cumin seeds, asafoetida, mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt and little water. Grind it into a thick chutney.
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, coarsely grinded coriander seeds, curry leaves and green chili-ginger-garlic paste and stir well.
  3. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and mix well.Add boiled and diced potatoes. Mix well.
  4. Add salt, little water and stir.
  5. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add garam masala, sugar and 2-3 teaspoons of prepared green chutney. Mix well.
  7. Add some coriander leaves and garnish it.
  8. On a pan melt some butter, sprinkle some red chili powder, finely chopped coriander leaves and roast the pav well in it. Roast it from both sides.
  9. Serve the Pav with Bataa Nu Shaak and our Navsari Pav Batata is ready.
