Bajri Nu Raab
Bajra Raab is a very traditional Gujarati recipe. This recipe is healthy and is often eaten to beat the cold weather. During the winter season bajra raab is very beneficial for our body. This is recipe is one of the forgotten recipes of Gujarati cuisine. Gujarati Bajra Raab is very simple to make but the taste is amazing and you should make it during the winter season.

Recipe: 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Bajra Flour
  • 1.5 Cups of Jaggery (Gud)
  • 2-3 Cups of Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
  • 2-3 Cinnamon Sticks (Dalchini)
  • ½ Teaspoon Dried Ginger (Sonth) Powder
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Ghee

Procedure:

  1. Heat ghee and add carom seeds, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Stir well.
  2. Add bajra flour and roast it on low gas. Add ghee if required to get the right consistency.
  3. Once it is roasted well add water and mix well. Keep the thickness of raab as per your choice.
  4. Add jaggery and stir well.
  5. Add dried ginger powder and mix well.
  6. Bajri Ni Raab is ready.
