Tal Nu Kachariyu is a Winter special Gujarati vasanu. Gujarati Vasanu recipes are prepared from ages in Gujarati household and it is very healthy and nutritious for our body during the winter season. Tal Nu Kachariyu is very easy Gujarati recipe and requires very few steps. You can even store it and have little every morning with milk. Kachariyu is very healthy for everyone and is sugar free. Recipe: 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Black Sesame Seeds (Kaale Til)
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of Sesame Seed Oil (Til ka Tel)
  • ½ Cup Grated Coconut (Sukka Nariyal)
  • 8-10 Seedless Dates (Khajur)
  • ½ Cup Jaggery (Gud)
  • 2 Teaspoons of Melon Seeds (Kharbuje Ke Beej)
  • 1 Teaspoon Poppy Seeds (Khuskhus)
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Ginger (Sonth) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ganthola Powder
  • Chopped Almonds (Badam)
  • Chopped Cashew Nuts (Kaju) 

Procedure:

  1. In a mixer cup add black sesame seeds and grind it coarsely.
  2. Add dates and jaggery. Grind it again coarsely. While making this recipe don’t grind too much.
  3. Add grated dried coconut, poppy seeds, melon seeds, dried ginger powder and gnathola powder. Grind it coarsely.
  4. Add sesame seed oil and grind it.
  5. Remove it in a bowl and mix it well with hands.
  6. Now put it in a plate give it a square shape. Garnish it with grated coconut and chopped almonds and cashew nuts. Tal Nu Kachariyu is ready.
