Recipe: 

Ingredients:

  • ¼ Cup Vermicelli (Sevai)
  • 2 Cups of Hot Milk
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Custard Powder
  • ¼ Cup Cold Milk
  • 5-6 Teaspoons of Sugar
  • Saffron (Kesar)
  • Sabja Seeds
  • Chopped Almonds (Badam)
  • Chopped Cashew Nuts (Kaju)
  • Ghee 

Procedure:

  1. Soak sabja seeds for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat some ghee and add vermicelli. Roast it well. Make it golden brown.
  3. Add hot milk and stir well. Let it boil on medium gas and stir it continuously.
  4. Add saffron and stir.
  5. Add sugar and let it dissolve well.
  6. In a bowl take custard powder and some cold milk. Dissolve the powder well and make sure no lumps remain in the mixture.
  7. Add it to the milk and stir well.
  8. Let the custard cool in refrigerator.
  9. In a serving bowl add soaked sabja seeds. Pour the cooled custard and top it with chopped dry fruits. Sevai Custard is ready.
