Jeera Aloo

Jeera Aloo is a very tasty and simple potato recipe. But I have added my own touch to make this jeera aloo tastier and yummier. Addition of kasuri methi gives a nice taste to this simple sabzi recipe. Moreover, at the end I have topped it with some chaat masala to make it more chatpata. Recipe: 
Ingredients: 
  • 6-8 Potatoes 
  • 2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera) 
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing) 
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi 
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder 
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder 
  • ¾ Teaspoon Garam Masala 
  • ¾ Teaspoon Amchur Powder 
  • Chaat Masala 
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania) 
  • Salt 
  • Oil 
Procedure: 
  1. Heat some oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and kasuri methi. Stir it well. Add potatoes and stir well. Close lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add dhana jeera powder, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur powder and salt. Mix well.
  3. Close lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add some coriander leaves and complete it with chaat masala. Jeera Aloo is ready.
