Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Tur Dal
  • ¼ Cup Chana Dal
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Finely Chopped Tomato
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Butter
Procedure:
  1. Wash the dals well. In a cooker take some water and place an utensil to boil the dal. In the utensil add tur dal, chana dal, water, turmeric powder and salt. Close lid and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
  2. Now mash the boiled dal well.
  3. In a pan melt 3-4 teaspoons of butter. Add chopped onion and stir it till it becomes transparent.
  4. Add red chili powder and mix well.
  5. Add the boiled and mashed dal and stir well.
  6. Add chopped tomato and salt. Mix well and let it boil well. More the dal boils better will be the taste.
