Methi Nu Shaak
Methi Nu Shaak is a very popular Gujarati dish. Today we will make Methi Nu Shaak in a different style, we will make it in Nagpur style. Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 250-300 Grams Chopped Fenugreek (Mehi)
  • ½ Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 3-4 Teaspoons of Curd (Dahi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili-Garlic (Hari Mirch-Lehsun) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
For Tadka:
  • 10-12 Lengthwise Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 2-3 Dried Red Chilies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Heat some oil in kadhai and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and green chili-garlic paste. Stir well.
  2. Add finely chopped fenugreek. Let it cook until it settles down. Cook it on medium gas.
  3. In gram flour add turmeric powder, salt and curd. Whisk it well and make sure no lumps remain. Add water if required.
  4. Now add this mixture to the settled fenugreek and stir well.
  5. Add some water. Mix well.
  6. For takda heat some oil and add mustard seeds, lengthwise chopped garlic cloves. Stir till it turns golden brown and then add dried red chilies. Add this tadka over the methi and our tasty Methi Nu Shaak is ready.
