Paneer Handi - Quick Paneer Nu Shaak

Ingredients:
  • Paneer Cubes
  • ¼ Cup Cream (Malai)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Finely Chopped Tomato
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic (Adarak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 5-6 Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 Black Cardamom (Badi Elaichi)
  • 2-3 Cinnamon Sticks (Dalchini)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
  • ¾ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Ghee
Procedure:
  1. Heat some ghee in handi and add cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, black cardamom and cinnamon sticks. Stir well in oil.
  2. Add finely chopped onions and stir till it turns golden brown.
  3. Add red chili powder and stir well.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and finely chopped tomato. Stir well. Close lid and cook till tomato softens.
  5. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, kasuri methi and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add cream and stir well. Close lid and cook till ghee separates from cream.
  7. Add water and stir well.
  8. Add paneer cubes and garam masala. Stir well.
  9. Cover the handi with aluminum foil, close lid and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  10. Paneer Handi is ready. Serve with hot parathas, onion slices and lemon.
