Pav Pattice Mumbai
Borivali is famous for its street food and one of the famous street food of Borivali is Pav Pattice. Pav Patties is an extremely tasty and mouth watering recipe that you must try at home. In this famous Mumbai food recipe we prepare a potato patties and place it in between a pav with some veggies and loads of cheese. To make it more tasty the pav is roasted in garlic chutney which gives a nice spicy taste to it.
Recipe: Ingredients: For Petis:
  • 5-6 Boiled & Mashed Potatoes
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili- Ginger (Hari Mirch- Adrak) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt
For Making Pav Petis:
  • Pav
  • Finely Chopped Onion & Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Tomato Slices
  • Green Chutney
  • Garlic (Lehsun) Chutney
  • Chaat Masala
  • Cheese
  • Sev
  • Butter
Procedure:
  1. For petis take boiled & mashed potatoes, add green chili-ginger paste, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Mix it well.
  2. Make petis from this mixture and in a pan shallow fry it. Shallow fry it on medium flame to make it nice golden brown and crisp.
  3. On a pan add some butter ad add green chutney and garlic chutney. Keep the gas low. Roast the pav in this butter.
  4. Now place the petis between the pav, add finely chopped onion and coriander leaves, tomato slices, chaat masala, sev and grate some cheese. Close the pav and our Borivali style pav pattice is ready.
