Gujarati Pudla
In Gujarati cuisine Pudla is a popular delicacy which can be prepared in various ways. The most important thing about Pudlas is that it is an instant Gujarati recipe. Today we will make High Protein Pudla recipe which consists of various dals and some simple masalas. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • ¾ Cup Soaked Masoor Dal
  • ¾ Cup Soaked Moong Dal
  • 1 Teaspoon Soaked Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Ke Daane)
  • 1 Cup Semolina (Rava)
  • ½ Cup Curd (Dahi)
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In a mixer cup add garlic cloves, cumin seeds, soaked fenugreek seeds (methi ke daane), soaked masoor dal and soaked moong dal. Grind it into a paste.
  2. To this mixture add semolina, curd, red chili powder, turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, salt and mix well.
  3. Add water if required to get the right consistency for making pudlas.
  4. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  5. On a hot tawa spread some oil and pour the batter to make the pudlas.
  6. Roast the pudla well from both sides.
  7. After it is cooked well, apply butter on one side and sprinkle some pav bhaji masala. Turn it cook the masala for few seconds and our tasty High Protein Pudla is ready.
