Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 500 Grams Diced Potatoes
  • Puree of 3 Tomatoes
  • Paste of 3 Onions
  • ½ Cup of Cream (Malai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Shallow fry the potatoes. Make them nice crispy and golden brown.
  2. For the gravy take some oil and add cumin seeds, onion paste and sauté it well. Make it golden brown.
  3. Add tomato puree and cook it well.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhana jeera powder and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add cream and mix well. If you don’t have cream you can use cashew (kaju) paste.
  6. Add shallow fried potatoes and stir well.
  7. Add water if required and cook the potatoes well.
  8. Once the gravy starts to boil, add garam masala, close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and our tasty & yummy bataka nu rasavalu shaak is ready.
