Bajri Na Chamchamiya
Bajri Na Chamchamiya is a very traditional Gujarati recipe. This Gujarati dish is prepared during the winter season. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Bajra Flour (Bajre Ka Atta)
  • ½- ¾ Cup of Finely Chopped Fenugreek Leaves (Methi)
  • ½ Cup Finely Chopped Green Garlic (Hara Lehsun)
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoons Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili (Adrak – Lehsun – Hari Mirch) Paste
  • ½ Cup Whisked Curd (Dahi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Salt
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Ghee

Procedure:

  1. In bajra flour add fenugreek leaves, green garlic, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, asafoetida, carom seeds, sesame seeds, ginger-garlic-green chili paste, salt and whisked curd. Mix well.
  2. Add some water and prepare the batter. Keep the batter little bit thick.
  3. On a pan spread some ghee and add some sesame seeds. Pour the batter and spread it evenly.
  4. On top of it add some sesame seeds and spread some ghee. Once it is cooked well from the bottom flip it and cook the other side.
  5. Roast both the sides well. Our Chamchami is ready.
