Farali Paratha for Upvas

Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Soaked Sabudana
  • 3 Boiled & Grated Potatoes
  • ½ Cup Roasted Peanut (Singdana) Powder
  • ¼ Cup Curd (Dahi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili (Hari Mirch) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
Procedure:
  1. In a mixing bowl add soaked sabudana, boiled & grated potatoes, roasted peanut powder, green chili paste, curd, cumin seeds, coriander leaves and salt. If you are making it for first time add curd gradually or else the mixture might become loose and it would be difficult to make the parathas.
  2. Mix it well and make sure it binds well.
  3. Now on a rolling board keep a cloth and moist it with water.
  4. Take a portion of the dough place it on the cloth and make a paratha using your palms.
  5. Now on a tawa add some ghee and put paratha on it to roast. Roast it well from the bottom till it becomes golden and crispy. Apply some ghee and turn it and cook it from the other side.
  6. Farali paratha for upvas is ready, serve it with farali chutney.
