Mysore Masala Dosa

Recipe: Ingredients: For Masala:
  • 5-6 Boiled & Mashed Potatoes
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 1 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 4-5 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ¾ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Chana Dal
  • 1 Teaspoon Urad Dal
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
For Preparing Dosa:
  • Dosa Batter
  • Mysore Chutney
  • Butter
Procedure:
  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, ginger and green chilies. Sauté it well.
  2. Add chana dal and urad dal. Stir well.
  3. Add turmeric powder and finely chopped onion. Stir till onion turns transparent.
  4. Add salt and mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  5. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Stir well and our masala is ready.
  6. On hot tawa sprinkle some water and wipe it.
  7. Pour the batter and prepare the dosa.
  8. Once it is cooked slightly from bottom apply some butter on top and spread the mysore chutney. Add the masala and fold the Dosa. Mysore Masala Dosa is ready.
