Pudla is a traditional Gujarati dish and today we will make this traditional pudla with a twist. We will make today Cheese Pudla which will make this Gujarati recipe more tempting and tasty. In this pudla recipe I have added tomatoes to give a nice tangy taste. You can enjoy this pudla with tomato sauce or even with green chutney.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 Cups of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1-1.5 Tablespoon Curd (Dahi)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Grated Cheese
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In gram flour add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chili powder, chopped green chilies, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, cud, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well.
  2. Mix the curd well and then if required add water to prepare batter for pudla.
  3. Heat some oil on tawa and pour the batter. Spread it evenly and make the pudlas. Cook it well from both sides.
  4. Grate some cheese on the pudla and fold it. Tomato Cheese Pudla is ready.
