Gujarati Masala Rotlo

  • 2 Cups of Jowar Flour
  • 2 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Finely Chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • ¾ Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili-Ginger (Hari Mirch-Adrak) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper (Kali Mirch)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Til)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  1. In jowar flour add chopped onions, finely chopped spinach, finely chopped coriander leaves, crushed black pepper, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, carom seeds, sesame seeds, green chili-ginger paste, salt and mix well.
  2. Add water if required and knead a soft dough.
  3. Take a wet cloth and sprinkle some water on it and make a rotlo of the dough on it using your palms.
  4. Heat a tawa and spread some oil on it. Roast the Rotlo on the tawa. Roast it well from both sides. Cook it on medium flame.
  5. Masala Rotlo is ready.
