Khichya Masala Papad | Khichiya Papad Mumbai | Mumbai Street Food

Khichiya Papad is a popular street food of Mumbai. The khichiya papad consists of corn and rice flour and is easily available in market. On the streets of Mumbai this Khichiya Papad is topped with freshly cut vegetables, some chutney, chaat masala and sev. This Masala Papad is famous in the khau galii of Mumbai.

Ingredients:
  • Khichiya Papad
  • Grated Cabbage (Patta Gobi)
  • Grated Carrots (Gajar)
  • Finely Chopped Tomato
  • Finely Chopped Onions
  • Finely Chopped Cucumber
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Dates-Tamarind (Khajur Imli) Chutney
  • Green Chutney
  • Garlic (Lehsun) Chutney
  • Chaat Masala
  • Sev
  • Masala Chana Dal
  • Melted Butter
Procedure:
  1. Roast Khichiya Papad on a gas. 
  2. Take the papad in a plate and break it. 
  3. Add melted butter and then add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, grated carrot and grated cabbage.
  4. Sprinkle some chaat masala, add dates-tamarind chutney, green chutney and garlic chutney. Finish it with sev and masala chana dal. Add some coriander leaves and Khichiya Papad is ready.
