Today let us make Dungli Bataka Nu Shaak in a different way. I have this dungli bataka nu shaak in khada masala and prepared a gravy consisting of onions and tomatoes. - 500 Grams Diced Potatoes
- 2-3 Diced Onions
- 2-3 Lengthwise Chopped Green Chili (Hari Mirch)
- 1 Finely Chopped Onion
- 2-3 Finely Chopped Tomato
- 8-10 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
- 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
- 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
- 2-3 Dried Red Chilies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
- 2-3 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta)
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
- 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
- Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
- Salt
- Water
- Oil
- Shallow fry diced potatoes and let them turn golden brown. Now add diced onions and green chilies. Shallow fry them well.
- Now take the fried vegetables in a bowl and in the same kadhi heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, dried red chilies, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Stir them well.
- Add garlic cloves and fry it little bit. Add chopped onions and let them turn golden brown.
- Add chopped tomato and stir it well. Once the tomatoes are cooked add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and red chili powder. Mix well.
- Add shallow fried vegetables and salt. Mix well.
- Add water and cook it well. Close lid and cook for 3-5 minutes. Dungli Bataka Nu Shaak is ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
