Lili Dungli Sev Nu Shaak - Kathiyawadi Dungri Nu Shaak | Traditional Gujarati Recipes

Sev Lili Dungli Nu Shaak is a popular Gujarati recipe which is simply yummy in taste and is enjoyed with Bajra no Rotlo. Ingredients:
For Garlic Paste:
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 3-4 Dried Red Chilies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • ½ Inch Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  •  Salt
For Making Sabzi:
  • Gathiya/ Sev
  • 300 Grams Finely Chopped Spring Onions
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In a mixer cup add garlic cloves, ginger, dried red chilies, red chili powder and salt. Grind it into a coarse paste.
  2. Heat some oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida and the garlic paste. Fry the paste well in oil.
  3. Add turmeric powder and stir well. Add finely chopped spring onions and stir well. Close lid and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Add dhana jeera powder and salt. Mix well. 
  5. Now add the gathiyas and our Sev Lili Dungli Nu Shaak is ready.
