Kathiyawadi Bharelo Rotlo - Bharelo Bajra No Rotlo Recipe - Gujarati Recipes

Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Pearl Millet Flour (Bajre ke Atta)
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Spring Onions
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Fenugreek (Methi)
  • 100 Grams Finely Chopped Green Garlic (Hara Lehsun)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili (Hari Mirch) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Ghee
  • Water
Procedure:
  1. Heat some ghee and carom seeds, asafoetida, green chili paste and sauté it well.
  2. Add green garlic and sauté it well.
  3. Add turmeric powder and mix well. Add spring onions and fenugreek. Stir till the vegetables settle down. Add salt and mix well. 
  4. Let the vegetables cook for a while till it becomes dry. Then take it in a bowl and let it cool.
  5. Now take pearl millet flour, add salt, water and knead a dough for rotlo.
  6. Take a portion of the dough, dust it with flour and flatten it. Add some stuffing and close the ends. Make the rotlo with delicate hands.
  7. Roast the rotlo on tawa with some ghee. Bharelo Rotlo is ready.
