Kanda Poha Recipe | maharashtrian poha recipe

Poha is a very healthy and easy recipe to make. You can enjoy poha either for breakfast or even for dinner. This beginner breakfast recipe is so simple that anyone can prepare it. I have tried to use minimum ingredients to make this poha tasty & quick to prepare. To make this Gujarati poha recipe even tasty I have used grated coconut and coriander for garnish. 
Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Poha (Flattened Rice)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • ¼ Cup Peanuts (Singdana)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 2-3 Finely Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Grated Coconut
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Soak poha and drain the water well.
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and peanuts. Stir well.
  3. Add chopped onion and stir till it turns golden brown. Add finely chopped green chilies and stir well.
  4. Now add turmeric powder and stir well. Add soaked poha and stir well.
  5. Add salt, sugar and lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Once the poha is ready add some coriander leaves.
  7. Serve the poha in a plate and garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
