Bhindi Kurkuri - Bhindi Starer Recipe - Indian Starters

Ingredients:
  • 500 Grams Okra (Bhindi)
  • 1 Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Cup Rice Flour (Chawal ka Atta)
  • ¾ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • ¾ Teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • ¾ Teaspoon Dried Mango (Amchur) Powder
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Cut the bhindi lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  2. Now in a mixing bowl take the bhindi pieces and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, , garam masala, dhana jeera powder, dried mango powder, chaat masala, gram flour and rice flour. Mix well.
  3. Now add salt, lemon juice and very little water. Add water only for little bit binding, too much water will make bhindi sticky.
  4. Deep fry the bhindis in oil.
  5. Once they turn golden brown, remove them in a plate and sprinkle some chaat masala over it.
