Bread Pakora - Aloo Stuffed Bread Pakora - Easy Pakora Recipe

Bread Pakoda is a favorite snack recipe to have with a cup of tea. In this recipe I will show you how to make bread pakora with aloo stuffing. We have prepared a stuffing of boiled potatoes which are cooked in some simple spices and are flavored with lemon juice and sugar. Along with potato subzi, green chutney is applied to the bread slices to make if more taste. And at the end we have sprinkled some chaat masala for some added flavor.

For Potato Stuffing:
  • 500 Grams Potatoes
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Green Chili-Ginger (Hari Mirch -Adrak) Paste
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • For Batter:
  • 2 Cups Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
For Making Pakoras:
  • Bread
  • Green Chutney
  • Chaat Masala
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker. Mash these boiled potatoes.
  2. Heat some oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chili-ginger paste and sauté it well.
  3. Add turmeric powder and mix well. Add boiled and mashed potatoes and mix them well in the masala. Cook for a while.
  4. Add sugar, salt and lemon juice. Mix it well. Add some coriander leaves and switch off the gas. Let the stuffing cool.
  5. Meanwhile for the batter take gram flour and add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. Add water and prepare batter for pakora.
  6. Now on the bread slices apply green chutney. Place some stuffing on one bread slice and spread it evenly. Place the second bread over it prepare a sandwich. Cut the sandwich into 2 pieces.
  7. Heat oil for frying pakoras. Dip the bread slices in batter and cover it well with batter. Deep fry the pakoras in oil.
  8. Once they are fried well from both sides, serve them in a plate and sprinkle some chaat masala over it. Bread Pakora is ready.
