Methi Na Ladoo - Gujarati Methi ke Ladoo - Healthy Ladoo Special


Methi Na Ladoo is a traditional Gujarati recipe which is often prepared during the winter season. It is very beneficial for young kids and even for adults. It consists of fenugreek, dry fruits, edible gum and is prepared using wheat flour. The combination of all these ingredients is vey nutritious and helps to keep away diseases by increasing your metabolism and inner strength.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 3-4 Tablespoons of Ghee
  • 1.5 Cups of Coarse Wheat Flour (Gehun ka Atta)
  • ¾ Cup of Fenugreek Powder
  • ½ Cup of Grated Dried Coconut (Suka Nariyal)
  • ½ Cup of Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus)
  • 3-4 Tablespoons of Grinded Edible Gum (Gundar)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ganthola Powder
  • 2.5 Tablespoon of Ginger Powder (Sonth)
  • Dry Fruits
For Jaggery Syrup:
  • 2 Tablespoons of Ghee
  • 1.5 Cups of Jaggery (Gud)
Procedure:
  1. Heat ghee and add wheat flour to it. Roast it well. Roast till it changes color.
  2. Now add grinded edible gum and mix well.
  3. Add grated dried coconut and poppy seeds. Mix well.
  4. Add dry fruits and mix well. You can add cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, etc. Roast everything well and then remove it in a bowl.
  5. For the jaggery syrup heat ghee in another kadhai and melt jaggery in it. Once the jaggery is melted well add it to the previously prepared mixture and mix well.
  6. Add ganthola powder and dried ginger powder. Mix well. Now when the mixture is warm and fenugreek powder and mix well.
  7. Now prepare the ladoos from the mixture. Methi na Ladu is ready.
