Instant Handvo Recipe - Easy Gujarati Handvo - Gujarati Recipes

Handvo is a traditional Gujarati dish which is loved by everyone. In this recipe we will make Instant Handvo using semolina (rava). In this rava handvo we have added carrots and some spinach to make it healthy. You can prepare recipe for breakfast as it is very quick and healthy to eat.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Semoliina (Rava)
  • 1 Cup Grated Carrots (Gajar)
  • 1 Cup Finely Chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • 1 Cup of Curd (Dahi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chili- Ginger (Hari Mirch- Adrak) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. To the semolina add curd, salt and water. Mix well and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Now add grated carrots, chopped spinach, green chili-ginger paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and water. Mix well prepare batter for Handvo.
  3. Add soda and mix well.
  4. Now in a pan take some oil and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves. Saute it well and then add the batter to prepare the Handvo. Spread it evenly and let it cook on medium gas for 20 minutes.
  5. Turn the Handvo and cook the other side for 10 minutes. Rava Handvo is ready.
