Veg Momos Recipe - Easy Momos Recipe | Chinese Momos


Momos is a popular street food recipe which is enjoyed by everyone. Today we will make veg momos recipe at home. In this recipe we have sautéed vegetables like cabbage, carrots and spring onions with some condiments and have stuffed this in the momos. The crunchiness of the vegetables make the Momos extremely tasty.

For Covering:
  • 1 Cup Plain Flour (Maida)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
For Stuffing:
  • 250 Grams Finely Chopped Cabbage (Patta Gobi)
  • 2-3 Grated Carrots
  • ½ Cup Finely Chopped Spring Onions
  • 8-10 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 2-3 Finely Chopped Green Chili (Hari Mirch)
  • ¾ Teaspoon Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) Powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Make a soft dough of plain flour, salt and water. Use oil to make the dough smooth. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  2. For the stuffing heat some oil and add finely chopped garlic, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped green chilies. Stir well.
  3. Now add finely chopped spring onions and saute it well. Now add grated carrots and finely chopped cabbage. Stir fry the vegetables well. Don’t overcook them, keep them slightly raw.
  4. Add black pepper powder and salt. Mix well and remove it in a bowl. Let it cool down.
  5. Now take a portion of the dough, dust it with flour and prepare a thin and small puri. Put the stuffing at the center, apply milk to the edges of the puri and prepare the momos.
  6. Now take some water in a deep bottomed vessel, place a hole sieve over it and apply oil to the hole sieve. Place the momos over the hole sieve and steam them for 10 minutes. While placing the momos make sure to keep some space between the momos to avoid momos to stick with each other while steaming. Serve the momos with momos chutney.
